A 9 month update on AMERICAN BULLDOG T-Bone

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Hi Guys:
A 9 month update on T-Bone; first I am still planning on showing him with you at the Sportsmans Show in Toronto so keep me updated!
T-Bone continues to be an integral part of our family! My son and I are very happy we walked away from Linda’s place 7 months ago with the little chunky 20 lb puppy. He is now 95lb’s and as you can see from the pictures he is alert, agile, and fit with plenty of ways to be amused from learning to play chess to chasing remote control trucks!
T-Bone is socialized around the neighborhood and every week has a playdate with his litter-brother Gator and ‘cousin’ Callie. T-Bone has playmates of all different sizes from Yorkies to Great Danes and plays well with all of them. Even at 9 months he has little tolerance for aggressive dogs and will assert himself accordingly thus it is best for him to play with other confident well socailzed dogs!
He is an awesome dog that continues to make us smile everyday and happy to see his face at the front door when we come home.
take care and happy holidays!
Euan and Calum

American Bulldog T-Bone from Bubbles and Bubba on the Kayak

Monday, August 17th, 2009

3 months with American bulldog T-Bone has flown by (he’s now 5 months old)! Here’s some pictures of american bulldog T-Bone out in the Kayak again. I tried him in with me but he’s killing my legs when he sits on them so now he’s in the front of the Kayak with my son where theres more room. Not sure what he’s weighing these days but definitely around 60 pounds or so. Let me know when his papers are available and let me know if you are going to the american bulldog show in september and I’ll come by with him so you can check him out. He’s now on Royal Canin 32 puppy for large breeds, still with the raw beef once a day. Right now he’s busy munching his bone under the desk while I work!

American Bulldog Gator from Bubbles and Bubba

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

Hey Martin and Kinga !!!

Matt and Elissa here from Kitchener.

Sorry we could not make the Caledonia Show, we had previous plans already made but we really wanted to come. Please keep us updated on the next coming show, we would really like to go.

We have attached some pictures of Gator. Also there is a picture of Gator playing with his brother T-Bone, we meet every Saturday for a play date.

Gator has been the best dog. He is extremely smart, well behaved and gentle. We have enrolled Gator into Puppy School at Petsmart. He has been the teachers pet since day one and is far ahead of the pack. Gator is just about 3 months old now and weighs 32 pounds and still going strong !! We could not be happier with Gator, and we would recommend Steel City American Bulldogs in a heart beat.

See ya guys at the next show !!!

Matt & Elissa. :)

P.S Feel free to post what you like on the Steel City website (if any) there are lots :)

American Bulldog Puppy from Bubbles and Bubba - T-BONE

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

A sixteen week update on T-Bone; he is an awesome dog! I just had him at the vet for boosters and he was weighed in at 47 pounds, very healthy with a couple of adult teeth coming in. He continues on his steady diet of Royal Canin with once a day raw ground beef mixed in, which he devours, plus he gets 2 or 3 raw beef bones a week.

Regular walks throughout the day around the neighbourhood keep him very well socialized with all our local dogs, kids and adults. We also do lots of trail walking where he walks at heal ‘off leash’ and never slows or runs ahead maintaining his role in ‘the pack’. I get him together with his brother for weekly ‘playdates’ plus he plays with local pugs, dobermans, and any other dog that will join in the fun. He is tremendous!

T-Bone continues to share in our active lifestyle of camping activities. He is now a regular passenger in our kayak and enjoys outings onto small lakes, rivers and even Georgian Bay.
He sits calmly between my feet in our tandem kayak and enjoys the ride. When he gets bigger he will take up most of the front compartment, while my son will graduate to his own kayak. I’ll need to get T-Bone a K9 lifejacket to ensure his safety as I think given his size he might sink!!

Here is a couple of pictures; one of his usual listening pose and the other of us out on Georgian Bay.

cheers!

Euan

American Bulldog Puppy T-Bone from Bubba and Bubbles

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Just a twelve week update! T-Bone (yes my son loved the name and really it fits him) is really settling into our family. He spent a week with us up at Tobermory enjoying coming on hikes (doing some walks but also a passenger in a backpack on my chest) flying over wavetops in a Zodiac and playing in icy water of Lake Huron.
These days he meets lots of neighborhood kids and dogs and is a total star everywhere we go including the dragon boat races this last weekend. His picture will be in a local paper soon as a result.
He’s been on a Royal Canin puppy diet and now once a day I am mixing raw beef with it - HE LOVES that extra and licks his bowl clean. Once a week we meet up with GAtor’s owners from Kitchener - a great couple and the two brothers play their bulldog games. Its cool to see the two dogs developing. At 12 weeks Gator is slender and tall, T-Bone is a mack truck (or as one observer said..a chunky monkey.)
T-Bone sleeps the mornings and afternoons under my workdesk after exercising and food.

Cheers
