Miracle

Puppies started to open their eyes now.
They are 12 days. They are growing and healthy.
Everything is going well. We had an emergency with one pup which got really cold. Unfortunately the emergency vet was not prepared to help our little guy but we did manage to save him. From this experience we have few tips for everybody who is thinking of breeding their dogs.
Bringing the pup back to life is an amazing feeling but if the effort is not successful it can be heartbreaking. If you consider breeding be prepared to put in a lot of work that will not pay off. That s the hard part about being a dog breeder. If you consider breeding do your research very well and never stop learning.

If you notice that the pup is cold, flattened out and gasping for breath this is a pup that is very close to dying. There is no time to waste at this point and you have to warm him up as soon as possible. The best way is to put the pup up to its neck into warm water. Keep your puppy there until you see that it is warmed up. Keep water warm do not let the water get cool.
After you take the pup out dry it with the towel and make sure the room temperature is high.
Keep massaging and handling the pup. Do not let it to flatten out.

Your pup might be dehydrated especially if in your efforts to warm it up temperature is too hot. To check if the pup is dehydrated pinch it s skin.
if skin flattens out quickly then it is ok but if it holds the pinch then your pup is dehydrated and it needs fluids. Chances are that you do not have fluids on hand and your vet is closed. If this is the case feed your puppy Gatorade this will hydrate him much better then water.

Quick advice on the vet. If you feel that your vet is not professional and you do not feel they care about your animal find another one.
We have a great vet who is very helpful that we can recommend:

Even though they are open 24/7 and they operate under regular non emergency rate their service is bad. We could have loose the puppy because lack of care. Unfortunately we were not informed that the medication should be kept in the fridge … so our puppy was on the useless medication for about 10 days until I realized that something isn’t working and called my vet. After replacing the medication puppy started to feel a lot better in 36 hours. We lost $100 on bad service.
