American Bulldogs and Summer
Should you take your American Bulldog for vacation or should you leave him behind?
Option 1 - Bringing american bulldog along
The first question you should ask yourself is will your american bulldog have a good time with you on your vacation. Are there excersise options? Is the beach near the busy road? Is your american bulldog trained enough to go with you. Is s/he friendly to other dogs and people? Untrained american bulldog can be costly and embarrassing to you but it also gives a breed a bad name which reduces their access in society. How does s/he do in the car? How well does s/he handle heat.
Option 2- Leaving american bulldog behind
Something to think about it when you want to leave your american bulldog behind is where he would be staying. Dogs that are used to being kenneled will not find it difficult to be left in the kennel, but dogs accustomed to living in the house with people might find even the best kept kennel very hard to deal with. House sitter or somone who boards dogs in their home might be an option.
