One of the puppies was born green – he s name is Shrek:

“Sometimes, when a puppy is born, the amniotic fluid mixes with the placenta and dyes the coat of the puppy and it almost always happens to very light colored puppies,” says Anna Zorrilla with the Louisiana SPCA.

She says the puppy will likely turn white in color in a few weeks. She also says the puppy’s health is not affected by the color.

“There are not health concerns,” Zorrilla said. “It’s really just a discoloration in the birthing process.”

Hi Kinga & Martin,

Here are some updated photos of Bentham. He’ll be 5 months next week
and is 56 Ibs. He is doing great – more and more like his dad every
day! He is very outgoing and loves meeting people, which is good
because we get stopped all the time when we’re out for walks with
people wanting to meet him and know what breed of dog he is. Training
is going really well; we’re starting ‘puppy graduate’ classes this
week. He has made lots of doggie friends at school and around the
neighborhood. Thanks again for such an amazing pup!

Hi there I just wanted to give you guys a update on Stella. She is growing fast and
is very healthy. We have recently bought her new toys from a company in the states
since she was destroying everything else that we gave her in minutes. She has very
powerful jaws. She is weighting in at 70-75 pounds at almost 8 months and such a
amazing dog. I want to thank you guys again for giving me such a wonderful family
member. Just in case anyone else is having problems with their dogs and toys here is
